Today was a good day. Tom flew off to California to sing, and the boys and I had a fabulous playdate/dinner date with a couple of sets of friends and their wee little ones. Wine, laughter, friends, occupied children - what could be better? (if you keep wondering what this singing thing is Tom does, here's their website: www.realtimequartet.com - and the cool thing is that they will be singing in the Festival Vancouver on stage in front of the Art Gallery downtown at lunch in August! Check out the Festival Vancouver booklet or their website if you are in the area and want to see them! (they don't usually perform locally, so this is tres cool!) Tom's the sexy bass, if I might be so bold.... ;)
Well, of course, I got home and immediately dove into finishing my surprise that I told you all about - I started it during my bad day (see earlier post), but didn't have time to finish it. A bunch of you who came to my crop got a sneak preview...
Ok - so the blurb first - where I got it - must give credit where credit is due after all! The design is from Jackie Topa, and let me tell you - this girl is the QUEEN of 3D! I HAVE to try her father's day card next! Anyway, as I told you before, I am IN LOVE with the Afternoon Tea Designer Paper in the mini catalog that is retiring at the end of the month, so of course, I had to use it for this puppy too (ok, I'm addicted, it's official!), as this month I'm wallowing in the self pity of losing my favourite all-time paper. I also decided to bind my own little birthday/address book with my zutter.
Ok - now you are really curious aren't you. :) I love the suspense.. but it's mean to keep it under wraps any longer! Here it is!
The outside box - doesn't look like much - I might decorate it up a bit still...
The inside when you take the lid off...
And finally, the matching cards and booklet (and look at the cute little stamp holder!...
Of course, this is my prototype - I'm going to make it better now - more chocolate chip reflected in both cards and box, and more layers (of course!) - Woo hoo! I can't wait to play more!
This is really neat. Wish I was going to be here for the class.

WOW...you love the Afternoon Tea DP as much as I do! Nice work on this very useful project. Now I'm going to have to make one for myself! ;)
