Snowflake Sweet Christmas Ornament

I wanted to share with you the Christmas ornament we made in November's BigShot Technique Class - I thought this would be a fun way to give a crafter a little gift they would appreciate - maybe hang it on their office doorknob, or even on the tree!  Here's how you make it:

1. Using the Bigshot, make a snowflake diecut on Brushed Gold Cardstock (pg 159 of 2009 IBC, #102935), using the Snowflake #2 Die (pg 202, #113460).  TIP: I put a piece of cardstock underneath this die when I send it through (as a shim), to get really clean cuts on those detailed holes)
   
2. Punch two 1-3/4" circles (pg 186, #112004) out of your favourite DSP and adhere to either side of centre of snowflake. 
   
3. Take 2 Sweet Treat Cups (pg. 7 in the Holiday Mini, #116802), and fill with your favourite gifts, candy or whatever else you want to hang on the tree.  Peel off the sticky strip from the cups, and adhere on either side of the snowflake.
   
4. Tie gold elastic cord (pg 27, Holiday Mini, #109867?) to hang it on your tree, and you are done!  Very fast and easy, and most of all - FUN! :)

Christmas Blocks

I'm LOVING these new blocks in the mini catalog!  I have SO many ideas for these, and have started making baby-name themes, Christmas themes, kid blocks and more! 

Here' a Christmas set I did, using the Christmas Jingle Simply Scrapbook kit and a set of blocks.  So fun, and SO cute for my mantle this year!  I am now working on one for my nephew's 1st birthday - it's great, as they are SO big, but still light and solid - he'll be able to stack them as he gets older for fun.  I'm matching it to his nursery colours now.
