The new catalog is coming. The old catalog is going... Wow, mixed emotions. Why? Well, I have a rule with myself that as soon as a catalog retires, I move out all my inventory that is no longer current, to make room for all that awesome new stuff!
Now THAT, as you crafters know, is easier said than done! And thereby today begins the month long period of wailing and gnashing of teeth - aka 'whining' about what's leaving us. I thought I would do a fun series about the products I am sad to see go, and the ones that will have to be pried from my cold, stiff fingers first! <ahem>...
And so to begin my tirade, I MEAN 'movement through the grief process', I am going to share with you my first NOOOOooooo moment... The Crafter's Toolkit!
SAY IT AIN'T SO! I LOVE this puppy! I can't tell you how many times I have used the pliers on something like brads to wrap the ends around stuff, the punching needle for a gazillion projects from opening dried glue ends, to moving sparkly things in glitter and, of course, POKING HOLES! Oh, and the tweezers, LOVE THEM! I never have been able to find a pair of tweezers to match (although I have a few floating around my studio of other brands, these are the ones that I look for first)...
Need I remind you of the ULTRA CUTE CARD we made at Christmas?? This LOVELY card of Beate's that I adore???? OH NO! That stampset is retiring too! But I LOVE that card!!! Look at the beautiful faux stitching made with my matpack inside my crafter's toolkit..
hmmmm... the matpack... well, at least I can keep that because it didn't retire (it's in the catty separately too), but then of course I need to keep the needle too, and well, since I'm keeping the needle, I also really like those tweezers, and the pliers.. hmm, I also use that nice big eyed needle inside for threading linen thread and hemp twine.... Nope, sorry to all you bargain hunters out there, just waiting for me to announce my retired item sale! THIS BABY'S MINE FOREVER!!! Mwah hahahahaha....

Hahaha.. I was so shocked when I first saw the crafter's toolkit on the Last Chance list! I can't believe they're getting rid of it...
